Thank you very much for your reply to my inquiries about IVF. I am very keen on reading what the Lubavitcher Rebbe has to say about it. In fact it is his opinion that I respect wholeheartedly. I have been married for seventeen years now. The last time I asked the Rebbe what to do was in Av 5743. I wrote a letter to the Rebbe, asking if we should: a) try IVF, b) try natural medicine, or c) just keep davening. The secretary said the Rebbe chose option c. As I have just turned thirty-six and know that for a successful treatment, the younger the better, I am in a dilemma. If we were not zokheh through tefilla… Am I being somekh ‘al ha-nes to expect to become pregnant after seventeen years? What would the Rebbe tell me to do today? Will I find guidance in this article by Rabbi Ginzberg and Rabbi Pevsner? How can I get a hold of this issue of Assia?
Attached please find the article by R. Pevsner and R. Ginsberg from the upcoming Assia. If you cannot open the file, please e-mail me your mailing address and I will send it to you via post.
