50. Bed sides may be put up to contain a hyperactive patient[82].

51. A confused patient who keeps pulling out the venous line or nasogastric tube, may be tied down, if necessary using a double knot. This is true even if he is a non-seriously ill patient[83]. When necessary such a knot may also be untied[84].
